So room 5 was at the back and room 6 was at the front then a lady named kat came to talk to us about education on burma the elephant burma had 1 stomach like every elephant she is 39 years old and also a herbivore which means she is vegan. once we finished talking about the education of burma we split up in our teams and we walked around the zoo me and my team walked for a long time and we saw lions, cheetahs, monkey’s, tortoise, turtles, rhino, giraffe, kea, kiwi,

Rm 6/5 Amazing science project

On Wednesday 27th of July Room 6/5 did some science. The first thing that we did was a catapult how my team made was by building a square base with Popsicle stick’s and we put triangles on the side of it and glued it with a hot glue gun then we put a stick on top the triangle. Then we made the catapult we made it long for extra distance then we put some rubber bands on the base and tied it to the end of the catapult how it works is that you pull the arm down put something on it and let go to fire. So then it was all finished. After that we did a tournament against room 5. Room 6 won the first round and room 5 won the second one and we won the third one. After we did the catapult we learned about vibrations so there was a bucket and a mirror in the bucket and the speaker was at the back of the bucket and there was a laser in front of the bucket pointing in the hole to face the mirror and it points at the white board so when you play a beat it shakes the mirror and the laser on it will make some sort of patterns on the whiteboard.

War memorial museum

On Tuesday Me and room 6 went to the museum we went to a field to eat morning tea then we waited for mister Mansel to get here to explain how old the museum was and when it was built. After the explanation of the museum we went into groups and walked inside the first thing I saw was a T rex and a video playing. My group had a walk around the bottom floor then we went to the top and saw the volcano room. and saw bones in front of us. We went into the volcano room and saw a house we went inside and watched a video and then a volcano risen up the water and exploded in the video but the house shaked and stopped it was very fun so we got out and explored more then we went into the dinosaur exhibit and saw a’lot of dinosaur’s it was very fun. After exploring we headed to the exit and went to the other groups to have lunch when we finished our food we got up and followed the teachers to a soccer field and up a mountain then we rolled down the mountain and played touch and some others went back into the museum then it was time to go back to school so we got back in the bus and headed to school.
